Hi - I have to prepare a partner performance dashboard, The complete data is for 1000's of partners (in SQL table) what they buy, how many units & price other measures. The sales team will send me this is the partner list I want on my dashboard.
I use Excel sheet - one column Partner id - First Month 10 partner, 2nd 10 + 10... Excel column partner id will grow for a year MoM
Now I convert the excel to SQL manually, use SQL statement where filter to take only the list of partner id in excel (Now Sql table).
I update my excel table but forgot to load the file to SQL, my BI SQL pull will have data for the old partner. I keep getting feedback from Reps that they are missing their partner,.. Memory strike back load the file to table..
Is there any way, i keep only Excel column as filter & refresh the dashboard using SQL dynamic filter.
Hi @mohan_g_das1986 ,
I'm not clear either. Do you use import mode to connect the Excel file and database? How do you use the partner id from Excel file to filter? And what do you mean use SQL dynamic filter to refresh the dashboard? Use a slicer or parameters?
@mohan_g_das1986 , not very clear. You should automate the excel. or can have excel and sql data and merge it in power bi and append that and remove duplicate
