Using Cursor AI with Power BI Desktop – Is It Possible?

While I haven't leveraged Cursor in Power BI, I have heavily leveraged Copilot, Power BI's built in LLM. So far Copilot has been able to do a lot of cool things in Power BI from developing entire reports, creating DAX measures/calculated columns, creating metadata definitions, providing report summaries via narrative visuals, and so much more. While in Fabric, Copilot can also be applied to different data sources, allowing the LLM to leverage data across your ecosystem for analytics. Thanks SamsonTruong  and Anonymous, Copilot is definitely well-suited for Power BI since it's built specifically for it. I was just curious if there's any way to use or simulate Model Context Protocol (MCP) within Power BI, or through tools like Cursor AI.

Would love to hear if anyone's explored that.

I have the same curiosity. If there has any MCP by PowerBI can work with Cursor , it do help a lot in my jobs
