Hi team.
User wants to give an input date in a slicer but that should not link with any of the date fields to the main table. Based on that user will add some columns to the date to calculate date difference. Is it possible to give an input date abased on that can the user able to add a column?
We wanted to substitute this today () – (hard coded date) with user input date.
Based on that we are further calculating aging based on the number of days
To provide input, employ a date slicer from a disconnected table (not linked to the fact table). In Power BI, there is no direct input; rather, only selections are accepted. Although you can utilize measures within a calculated column, the outcome appears as if no filters are applied. Calculated columns and tables update only when the referenced table or column has been modified or refreshed, not influenced by slicer selections. If you want it dynamic, use measures and visuals instead similar to below screenshot:
