Use related filters on not directly related tables

Hi,

i want to filter through my tables "Vorgänge" (MS SQL) and "Vorgänge PO"(Project Online). In Project Online there are some values in the tasks which i want to compare to the ones from SQL. So i need to Filter through multiple columns like "Gewerke" or "Ressourcen".

So far so good. This works with the relationships shown in the picture above.

My Problem is, if i filter in two slicers "Gewerke" and "Züge" they dont influence each other. Crossfiltering in both directions is not possible (second picture). Any chance for me to do that with another datastructure or so?

Hi @joergl87,

 You are adding too many available relationships between different tables.

This is one of known limitations of power bi relationships.(Power bi not support analysis many to many relationships and multiple available filter columns on match tables)

Power bi will try to analysis relationship and link between tables, if tables has more than one active relationships, power bi can't point out which one should link other tables and return this error message.

The workaround it deactivate secondary relationships and keep only one main relationship to enable filter effect on related tables.
