Use authenticated user's credentials to access REST Service Endpoint

My Situation is as follows:

I have a REST API, that I usually authenticate using Microsoft Entra (MSAL for python).

I need to get this data to PowerBI so I'd like to authenticate to the REST API using the credentials I used to login to PowerBI

Any suggestions?

That sounds like a solution indeed, I'm afraid way too complicated for my needs.

I was wondering if the authentication options in web connector (Microsoft Credentials or Organization Credentials) would be any good, but your answer leaves little room for hope

Why complicated? The documentation is pretty decent and the benefits are many. Give it a try.

Write a custom connector to implement that.
