Use Measure as a filter

Hi

I have a number of visuals where the list of filtered values is quick long.  Rather than having to select the filter on each value, can I create a "static" measure which when applied as a filter applies the filter I need, then if/when I need to change filters I just modify the measure?

Hope that makes sense!

Regards

Steven

Hi,

I am sure this is possible.

Could you please share some sample data and explain this a bit in detail.

Thanks.

@Anonymous thanks for your reply.  One example, I have a slicer as a dropdown with the value 'PCProjectItem[Code]'

I would like to create a measure that selects for example

'PCProjectItem[Code]' = "Concrete"

'PCProjectItem[Code]' = "Rebar"
'PCProjectItem[Code]' = "Lifters"

etc etc

Then when I would apply this measure to the slicer my options would be the above filtered values.  I also have multiple visuals that I would like to apply this measure to, instead of manually applying the filters to each visual.

Hi @sanderson82 ,

If you could send some sample data it would help me implement this.

Thanks,

Hi,

You can do this by creating a bookmark as a filtered. Then you can have an option of 'remove filters' and have one more bookmark for the unfiltered report.

Thanks.
