Hi everyone!
I want to use FORMAT([Date],"mmm") to show month like "Aug".
As you can see, Column 1 is using FORMAT() but returns wrong results. Column 2 is using MONTH() and returns correct results.
What caused the FORMAT() to return the wrong result?
Thank you in advance.
Solved! Go to Solution.
You are using "Date" column in formula
Try use "Review Date"
FORMAT([Review Date],"mmm")

Hi All,
I found that I accidentally nested a MONTH() in FORMAT(), and the problem has been solved. Thanks everyone for your help!
@misaki233 , Check review date is detected as date of not. If not Change data type to date and then try
FORMAT([Review Date],"mmm")
Corect column should be review date. Also check to make sure the column is in date format.
Hi @misaki233
Since data is aligned to its right it is a date data type. It it was text it will be aligned to left.
Below is the formula for date data type.
MMM_Date = FORMAT(SELECTEDVALUE(Table[Review Date]),"MMM")
O/P:
You are using "Date" column in formula
Try use "Review Date"
FORMAT([Review Date],"mmm")
