Use DAX Measures as Categories for Map Visual

Hi All,

I have a requirement to display location and amount in the Map visual. Something like below:

I am using calculated column to achieve this. However, thsi wont work if I applied filter and select multiple value as the calculated column is static. 

I was thinking is there any way for me to achieve the same objective by using measures intead? Any helps would be really appreciated! thanks

Hi @kilala 

In Power BI default map visuals I dont think measures can be added to category filed. However you can add measures into tooltip field.

you could select more than one value from a slicer that would filter that map with the selected values only.

It seems like I cannot drag measure as the location in my map visual.

Do you have suggestion on how to add it in?

true you can't, it needs to be a calculated column.
