Hi Guys,
I have a model in Power BI Desktop that I've been using for a year or so. Recently when I opened PBID, a red message bar asked me to upgrade my report, since it has not been upgraded to use the enhanced metadata format, whatever it means. When I try to do so I get a lot of errors, practially one for all queries, all concerning a single query called "Feature Release Dates", and reads like this:
The database compatibility level of 1465 is below the minimal compatability level of 1480 needed for [table 'Feature Release Dates'].[partition 'Feature Release Dates-e72fc089-2052-43bd-ab24-1911ddd9ab9d' in table 'Feature Release Dates']::[QueryGroup] at PowerBI mode.
Frankly said, I have no clue how it can be below that, while other tables are not, but I let it go. This query of mine basically loads another that's an embedded table. I even tried to recreate this query, so it was created in the latest version of PBID, yet I get the very same error.
Is there a way to circumvent this issue somehow, or will I be left in this deadlock as long as the world lasts? 🙂

Solved! Go to Solution.
@GusJ , uncheck enhanced metadata and try. Also, check there are a few issues reported on August release : https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues
Check, vote, or log a new one.

Thank you! Though it's basically more of a workaround than a solution, for me it's just fine since I can keep working with my model, and that's all I need.
