Hi, whenever I update a field name in Analysis Services and refresh the page in Power BI, the visuals break. Is this intended? I ask because when building a model in Power BI from scratch, the visuals maintain the reference to the fields used even if the name is changed. I expected similar behavior when connecting to Analysis Services from Power Bi.

Does refresh successfully? could you show me the error for visual or refresh error message?

Hi @v-juanli-msft, Yes, the refresh is successful. Here's screenshot of the visual after updating the field name from Occupancy to Occupancy 2 in Analysis Services and deploying the model.
Hi @Anonymous
As tested, when the column name update to a new one in the datasource, then you refresh from power bi, power query can't recongnize the new column name.
Please delete the wrong column from the Value field, then re-add Occupancy 2 column to this field.
Best Regards
Maggie
