I am new to Power BI. I use a view in SQL Server as my base dataset. If I add or remove a column from the view, how do I update the data table in Power BI to reflect the underlying structure changes? I know I can just delete and reimport, but I am wondering if there is an automatic way?

When you use a view in SQL Server as your base dataset, if you want to update the data table in Power BI after adding or removing a column from the view, you just use the ‘Refresh’ button in power bi desktop inteaad of deleting and reimporting it.
If the connect mode is Import, you can also use it in Query Editors when transforming data:
