Update current install rather than creating new one when updates are released

When the new updates are released why is a new install created of powerbi? Every month when an update is released all shortcuts and links to powerbi desktop must recreated

We're looking at potential fixes to this issue and might have a solution to it in the next update. So, after installing that update, subsequent installations will not require recreating these shortcuts/links.
