Unpivot table visual

Hey guys!

I wanted to know, is there a way to pivot a table visual? I have a table that looks like this:

iglesias6_0-1698775613604.png

Is there a way to change it IN the visual in order to get something like this?

Attribute        -         Value
Backlog Grooming - Excellent

Backlog Grooming - Great

Backlog Grooming - Nice

Backlog Grooming - Nice

....

Defect Management Strategy - Nice

Defect Management Strategy - Not found

Defect Management Strategy - Nice

I would normaly do the changes in the data, but I have my table named 'Audit Results': This table has some info coming from an Excel file + my calculated columns:

From my Excel I have column names like these:

And from my power BI I added columns like this also:

What can I do?

Hi @iglesias6
You can do unpivot from power query.
Steps to follow:
1) select your column to unpivot

2) go to transform tab >  unpivot > unpivot selected columns

3) it will look like this attribute - value columns

4) save and close

Note: If you dont want other columns so can remove other columns from Power query.

if my post helps please give kudos and accept it as a solution!
Thanks

But what do I do with the calculated columns?

Hi @iglesias6
I have not asked you to create calculated column. just jo the above steps to pivot your columns.
I am saying if you dont wanted any columns apart from pivot so you can remove it.

Im sorry, the idea here is to pivot ALL of them. The ones that come in the excel file + the ones I calculated.

Unpivoting only the ones in the file does not resolve my issue.

The columns that you are adding in as calculated columns, can you add them in in Power Query instead of adding them in as calculated columns in DAX?

Noo, I cannot 😞

If you don't mind me asking, what are the calculated columns? If you share the DAX maybe we can try to move them.

I cannot share the file given it has sensible data.

And the calculated columns are calculations that give a description "Poor" "Nice" "Great" "Excellent" depending a large set of conditions

It's likely that those columns can be created in Power Query instead of DAX. You can create conditional columns in Power Query and use the Advanced editor to write the code if needed.

Hi @iglesias6
Unfortunetly No, What ever DAX columns you are creating Cant be available in Power query.🙄

So that's not possibe what you are trying to achieved in Power query. Basically Pivot colums not possible in your case.
