Unable to save pbix file

Noticed that power bi desktop has very strange functionality in that I can open a pbix file and be working on it, and then if someone else opens the same pbix file it prevents me from being able to save. This is the opposite of all software I know. Is there any way of stopping this and making it that the second person to open the file only gets a read only view of it?

You can consider publishing reports to the power Bi service for collaboration.

Hi,

As far as i know it's not currently possibleto make it read only.

Power BI Desktop is made for personal use, where Power BI Service has the sharing and colaborative tools.

If you want to work in the same file you could make a copy of the file.
