    Hi Malaika  ,
    Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum. 

     

    Based on the error message, Power BI appears unable to establish a connection to your MariaDB server over the VPN. Can you please check the below

    1.Confirm that the MariaDB server allows remote connections and your user account has permission to connect from your machine’s IP.

     

    2.Try using the MySQL connector in Power BI, it’s often more reliable with MariaDB.

     

    3.Make sure the connector matches your Power BI Desktop.
