In a Power BI report created by my colleague, I’m unable to drag any fields into the field wells of visuals, particularly the Y-Axis. I’ve tried various fields and changed their data types, but this hasn’t helped. I can select the fields, but they default to the Legend or Small Multiples sections and can’t be moved to the Y-Axis. I’ve also duplicated the setup of an existing visual using the same fields, but the issue persists. My colleague has tried creating new visuals and adding fields, but he encounters the same problem. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Hi, @Ben_Bocking4
This occurs after you create a calculation groups:

Hi @Ben_Bocking4 ,
This usually happens when you turn on Calculation groups because it turns on the option to Discourage Implicit measures
This means that you cannot use any column on the values of your visualizations (except tables) and doing aggregations so for each value you need to create the explicit measures using DAX.
If you are using Calculation groups I would not turn this option off, and would create the measures needed.
