Hi,
I need parameters like Engine, Tyres, Lamps on X axis and Stages on Y (Value). When I do Stage1,2 on Value, it takes the "Count of stages" plus the X axis is also not showing up as desired.
My data format cannot change and will remain as below
I am only able to get the desired result if i transpose the data which i do not have option to.
Appreciate your help.
@Anonymous you already found the solution what you need to do. Any reason why you can transpose the data in powerbi.

Hi,
The transpose can happen dynamically in the Query Editor and from the transposed dataset, your chart can get created.
thanks Ashish, I am able to transpose from Query Editor but each time I add a new row to my data, I have to manually go and refresh and then add each Row to my Graph. Is there a way that as Row gets added, the graph auto updates ?
Hi,
It should happen automatically. I'll need to see your PBI file and the source dataset as well.
Hi,
Issues
1) When I pull data through excel file, graph does not refresh itself automatically.
2) When I link google sheets, it doesnt get linked. (link mentioned below)
Following are the links-
1) PBI file- https://drive.google.com/file/d/1p4XYpxsxOUBc9UTxOMx_sW2fY6wMA-dZ/view?usp=sharing
2) excel- https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JYsYulB33Wv6BxeEazQvZ6pmQFb5JST_35OlXUaDgOs/edit#gid=0
Hi,
You may download my PBI file from here.
Hope this helps.
thanks Ashish, it works. I have 3 doubts
1. So the Auto upload function only works using "Unpiveted other columns" and then adding a measure.
2. If I would like to have mouse over on this data, is it possible
eg. data: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JYsYulB33Wv6BxeEazQvZ6pmQFb5JST_35OlXUaDgOs/edit#gid=0
3. I am still not able to link the above sheet with Power BI through Web. It works only via Upload Excel. Can you connect to this sheet via web, if yes, how ?
You are welcome. I do not understand your first 2 questions. I am not sure of how to connect via web. You can save the file on OneDrive and then connect to the workbook. But you cannot perform transformations/write measures in PowerBI (for web) - that can only happen on the desktop software.
Sorry, I will detail my queries
1. Auto refresh facility once data is being fed in excel and graph changing itself. So the Auto upload function only works using "Unpiveted other columns" and then adding a measure.
2. In the Power BI file which you shared, I need to add comments on each Bar on mouse over. I have the data in the below sheet, pls can you help on how do we add it in current set of data ?
eg. data: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JYsYulB33Wv6BxeEazQvZ6pmQFb5JST_35OlXUaDgOs/edit#gid=0
3. I am uploading via Google Drive (the above link). I am getting attached error.
Hi.
You will have to respecify the path of the source folder where you souce Excel file is saved. Thereafter when data is updated in the Excel file, you will simply have to refresh the PBI file. Someone else will help you with the other 2 questions.
Question: I am getting multiple tooltips (on hover). I need 1 tooltip per Label. Here is my link to BI file,
