Hi, @Anonymous

Not sure what the problem is, but you can try the following methods:

How to Fix MySQL Error: Access denied for user root@localhost (phoenixnap.com)

sql - MySQL Error: : 'Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' - Stack Overflow

Best Regards

Hey @Anonymous ,

be aware that the bit version of Power BI and of the ODBC driver has to match. So if you are using the 64 bit version of Power BI, then you have to install the 64 bit driver of mySQL and also test with that version.

Can you confirm that?

If you need any help please let me know.
If I answered your question I would be happy if you could mark my post as a solution ✔️ and give it a thumbs up 👍
