Unable to change fill color in shape map

I'm trying to use the shape map to display data, but can't change the fill color or the gradient with the new redesign.  Am I missing something, or is there a bug with the visual's settings?

Leave the Color Saturation field empty

Then, in Visual Format > Fill Colors > Colors, you hit fX

Choose the format style and fly^^

@Cmcmahan , As a workaround, You can uncheck the new format pane from the preview feature in Options and setting and try
