I don't seem to have a problem connecting on a 32-bit client, but I want to try to connect on a 64-bit client so I can access more memory.
This is the connection string I'm using:
Driver={Client Access ODBC Driver (32-bit)};System=systename
Pretty straightforward. On the 32-bit client it prompts for user/password and all is well.
On 64-bit version I get the following error:
Details: "ODBC: ERROR [HY096] [IBM][System i Access ODBC Driver] Information type out of range."
I have no idea how to get around this. Any ideas?
If I can't run on 64-bit then I I really can't use Power BI.

Please test with the latest build (December 2015) of Power BI Desktop. There have been reports of this resolving the issue: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/desktop

Worked Great.
I have tried 32 bit and can still not get a connection
"ODBC: ERROR [HY096] [IBM][iSeries Access ODBC Driver]Information type out of range."
It askes for username and password and then gives me that error.
What 32bit driver did you use?
running into the same issue for new pbix files. existing files/connections seem to be working fine.
We are facing a similar issue.
Any one have any idea on how to sort this?
