Unable to Add Delimiter Between Absolute and Percentage Change in KPI Visual

I’m facing an issue with the Power BI KPI visual related to formatting the indicator values. Currently, the KPI automatically displays both the absolute change and the percentage change together, but...

Download example file with code/visual shown below

The KPI visual doesn't offer the ability to do this.

You could use a card and create a measure to display what you want

    Distance To Goal =

    VAR _Value = [DistanceToGoalValue]

    VAR _Percent = FORMAT([DistanceToGoalPercent], "0.00%")

    RETURN

    "Prev. month: " & [Target] & " (" & _Value & " | " & _Percent & ")"

    Regards

    Hii Radha25

The built-in KPI visual doesn’t let us customize the format of the delta line, so we can’t directly insert a delimiter between the absolute and % change.

You can use this to calculate both values with DAX and build your own text:

Abs Change = [Current] - [Previous]
Pct Change = DIVIDE([Abs Change], [Previous])
    Change Text =
        FORMAT([Abs Change], "#,0") & " | " &
        FORMAT([Pct Change], "0.00%")

Then show Change Text in a Card visual (next to or instead of the KPI). This will display it like (-522 | -0.49%), but it’s not possible to change the internal KPI format itself.
