I have two visuals using the same values, and filtering settings. The only thing that's different are that the two visuals are on two different pages. I was trying to find a way to debug this, and to see if I can get this resolved.
Both visuals are pulling from the same exact data, so it's not a data modeling issue. The data table has a "Total Reviews" and "Total Questions" data, which is being visualized on two separate tabs:
page1:
page2:
You'll notice that page2 numbers are down versus the page1 numbers. Also, I noticed the barchart for question volume for page2 is also different than the question volume for page1.
The underlying data for both of these visuals are the same exact data, so it's got to be a filtering issue at the page level. Moreover, when I look at the filters affecting each visual, and it comes up exactly the same for all visuals including the previous screenshots: (for simplicity, I did one screenshot here, but the other ones look exactly the same as this one)
page1 filters:
page2 filters:
I'm also looking at the Data/Drill tab, edit interactions, and am not finding any special filtering settings, I do feel stuck on what could be causing this issue. I'm almost certain that it's a page-level filter, but I don't know how else to debug it if the filtering looks the exact same for both, and I've only come across this issue with the most recent refresh (which means it wasn't an issue for 6 months until now).
Solved! Go to Solution.
Adjust the layer order and display the slicer first to see if you can see the contents of the slicer.
Looks strange, see the 'Selection' pane (under view in toolbar), see if anything hidden which is causing this issue.
If you copy all visuals Cntrl+A page1 and paste to a completely new page, does this brings the same number?
When I copy the first visual into the second, I see that it looks like the second page, so its got to be a filter setting.
I'm seeing one layer item that is hidden, a slicer, but when I show it, I do not see where it is on the page at all.
Adjust the layer order and display the slicer first to see if you can see the contents of the slicer.
