Hi,
Hope you are keeping well!
We have run into a PowerBI issue, where we are trying to create 2 pbix reports which connect to the same database but with different credentials. But we are not able to achieve this because when these reports are published to PowerBI Service and are refreshed by refresh scheduler they tend to use the credentials that were last used in PowerBI Desktop instance.
Please would you know any other way we can sort out this issue or any alternative to it?
I reviewed issues raised in the community and I found this one to be similar but it doesn't seem to answer my question (https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Desktop/connect-to-the-same-database-with-2-different-user...)
Many thanks!
Kind Regards,
Hi @amitchandak,
We have tried using that but even though the reports are in different workspace and points to different connection it uses the same connection when refreshed.
Please can you help?
Many thanks!
@mansimehta395 , Under the setting(Power Bi Service) you have Gateways and connection. I have seen you can manage multiple connections there with the same database.
