Trend axis not showing up / Trend axis shows up incorrect result

Hello,

I've been trying this for days now but it shows the two same result.

First, I've tried to create a column chart, sort out the months before converting it to KPI. I followed this thread https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Trend-axis-not-showing-up/td-p/324259 It shows the trend axis but showed incorrect result.

Next, I've tried the KPI directly - shows the correct result but has no trend axis

Do you guys have any idea how can I make the trend axis show up? Here's the pbix . Thank you so much!

Hi @Anonymous ,

For the above KPI, its value will change with the change of the month, so the trend axis background image will be displayed. The value in the KPI below is a fixed value and has no trend, so the trend axis will not be displayed.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.

Hello @v-henryk-mstf ,

Much appreciated on this, however I read somewhere that the KPI only shows the data from the latest month and cannot give the overall total from Jan. to Dec. which I want to show(fixed value). I may have to use 2 visuals for this. Thank you so much henry!

@amitchandak , the first screenshot shows 14 which is from Dec. month only. While the second screenshot summarize all the months

@Anonymous , I tried MTD measure with Month year trend seems to be working better

MTD = CALCULATE(Sales[Sales],DATESMTD('Date'[Date]))

@amitchandak , sorry I am a bit lost.. where should I input that measure? Create another one? or replace one of the measures I created? 🙂

@Anonymous , Create a new measure and replace the existing one.
