Trend Line

I am trying to add a trend line to a scatter chart. The x-axis is a date field. When I go into Analytics to add a trend line, the options are not available and the Trend Line 1 disappears.

Hi @gsudhakar,

Trend line feature not available on scatter chart, you can use clustered column chart, line chart, line and clustered column chart to instead.

This article seems to indicate that the trend line can be used for a scatter since it says all dynamic lines can be used for a scatter.

Nope, I think you are misunderstand with document.

It only told about these visual support analysis features so you can use dynamic line for visualization.

It not means you can use all type of dynamic lines in these visuals.
