Transpose data in table visual

 Hi Guys!

I have created a Table visual in Power Bi and it looks like this:

However, I need this to be transposed. So that it looks something like this - basically months would be in columns, and other 2 columns should be in row

I am not sure how to do this. Any help would be relaly appreciated, Thanks!

Hi, @SJHALANI

You can try the following methods.

In the Power Query-Unpivot Other Columns:

Then use the matrix view.

Is this the result you expect?

The Matrix approach in the accepted answer is correct  put Month in Columns well, your categories in Rows, and values in Values. This is the standard way to "transpose" a table visual in Power BI without touching the data model.

One limitation to be aware of: once published, users in Power BI Service can filter by month but can't add or remove month columns themselves without the developer going back to Desktop.

If your Finance users need to switch which months appear in columns themselves (e.g., show last 3 months vs last 6 months vs YTD) in the published report, Flexa Tables on AppSource handles this  dynamic column selection without republishing
