Hello Power BI Community,
I'm trying to transform an Excel file into a Power BI report for a client. However I'm finding that when importing some of the Excel tables into Power BI Desktop I'm losing some of the data.
For example this type of cells with the plus sign have hidden cells that contain data that is not imported into Power BI, is there any way to "unfold" them or break them down to be able to see them in Power BI?
Edit: additional information in the title.
Hi @Anonymous ,
You can refer to this post: Import Excel Pivot to PowerBI - Possible?
"
If you've already set up your the Data Model in Excel you can Import it in PBI Desktop => File => Import => Excel Workbook Contents.
Also, I'll just mention that if you are starting to build your Data Model and Excel is just your Data Source
PBI Home tab => click Get Data => select Excel => choose your file
However, you asked about Importing a Pivot Table and unfortunately, that is not possible!
