I have changed date time format of the field to a date format . it is affected in the desktop report but while accessing the dataset

from the power bi report builder the format is not showing as date it is still showing as datetime format.

Can u guys please help me with this.

Hi @Anonymous 

I think you only change data type in column tool.

You the column type of underlying data in Power Query is still date/time.

You can change the data type in Power Query Editor. Change date/time to date.

However it may still cause some problems when you compare date type with this column.

It is better to add an only date type column in Power Query Editor.

@Anonymous yes in the report builder you have to give your own format to display the date part only. I seen this too.
