Hello All,
Below is the sample data. I am trying to calculate average of Days by Section and drill through by Month.
I can get the average for a, c, e but not for ab.
ab = a+c+e
I want a,c,e and ab Average of Days by Section drill through month.
Thanks in advance
ID Days Section Month
1 10 a January
2 15 a February
3 20 c March
4 25 c April
5 30 e May
6 35 e June
Hey @shrock777
This is what i came up with based on your request.
If this is what you are after then this is how i did it.
Create a new table using the summarize syntax
SectionAverage = SUMMARIZE(SampleSection, SampleSection[Section], "Average", AVERAGE(SampleSection[Days]))
Then is ensure that the relationship was built between the two tables (note the cross filter direction is both).
When i built the chart my line value is Average Of Average
Hope this helps mate.
Hey Aree,
Thanks for the effort but i need average of ab(ab=a+c+e) in the bar chart.
Thanks
Hey @shrock777
if you mean the average of each section all added together then within the SectionAverage table just create this measure.
TotalAverage = SUMx(ALL(SectionAverage), SectionAverage[Average])
If this is not what you meant please explain.
