Not sure if this is even possible.
Currently I have a visualisation with tooltip set to Report Page.
What I am trying to do is to keep the Report Page tooltip when the user hovers, but also when a user clicks on the visual the user gets taken to a different page.
I can place a transparent shape or button on top of the visual and change the action to a new page, but I can't get either of these to show a tooltip page.
Anybody come have a workaround that might achieve what I want to?

Hi @Fusilier2 ,
You are refering to using a drill trough or is it a navigation to another page?
If you refer to a drill trough you need to use the right click on the chart or select a specific point on the visual and using a button to go to the drill-trough page if you refer to a navigation page you won't be able to do it since there is no option to have the over of a chart that is below another visual.

Thank you @MFelix for your response.
Use Drillthrough to navigate to a detailed page based on the selected data point. It preserves the context and shows relevant details when right-clicking or selecting a data point.
You can create bookmarks with transparent buttons for navigation, triggering a tooltip-like page. This won't show tooltips on hover but provides controlled navigation and context display.
Keep tooltips active for hover interactions and use separate navigation buttons outside the visual for page navigation.

@Fusilier2 Hey,
Method 1: Use a Button with a Tooltip and Action (Navigating via Button)
You can combine the tooltip behavior with navigation using a button that both shows the tooltip and provides a navigation action on click. Here's how:
Create a Tooltip Report Page:
First, make sure you've already set up a report page that will serve as your tooltip page. This page should have the layout you want to show when users hover over the visual.
Add a Button on Top of the Visual:
Place a transparent button over the visual (this can be done by inserting a Shape or Button).
Make sure the button is transparent by setting the background color to transparent.
Enable Tooltip on the Button:
With the button selected, go to the Visualizations pane and enable the Tooltip setting under the Button options.
Set the Action of the button to “Page Navigation” and select the tooltip report page as the target page.
Set up Page Navigation Action:
In the Action section of the button, choose Type = Page Navigation.
Select the target page (the one you want users to navigate to when they click).
Now, when users hover over the visual, they will see the tooltip report page, and when they click on the visual, they’ll be taken to the destination page.
method 2: Use a Shape with Tooltip and Action (Shape Layering)
If you prefer using a shape (instead of a button) to handle navigation:
Create a Transparent Shape:
Insert a transparent shape (like a rectangle or circle) on top of the visual.
Set the shape’s background color to transparent so it doesn't block the visual.
Set Tooltip on the Shape:
In the Visualizations pane, ensure that the tooltip is enabled for the shape. You can configure the tooltip to show the report page (this is the hover tooltip you want).
Enable Action:
In the Action section for the shape, set Type = Page Navigation and select the page to navigate to when the user clicks on the shape.
This should allow the shape to behave as both a clickable layer for navigation and still show the tooltip page when hovering.
Thanks
