Too Many Measures?

I am working with a lot of variables and I have a questions regarding measures. Let's say I have 30 variables for which I need to perform calculations to see Day over Day, Week over Week, Month over Month, Day over Day percent change, Week over Week percent change, and Month over Month percent change.

So, in theory, that's 30 variables multiplied by 6 different calculations, or 180 measures that I need to create. My questions are is there an easier way to handle something like this? Is there a limit to how many measures I can create? Will my reports and dashboards be bogged down by so many measures?

I have a selector that allows me to choose whether Day over Day values show up in my table. Or Week over Week values. Or Month over Month values.

Hey,

currently there is no other way. This means that all your date related measures  have to be defined in advance.

With the latest release you are able to create display folders thar helps to arrange the measures and keeps your field list tidy.

From a performance point of view, your report will not be bogged down as measures only get evaluated if they are used inside measures.

I'm not aware of a limit regarding the number of measures.

Regards,

Tom
