Hi
I am having 10 years of data on daily basis which means i have around 3650 points for the "Time series forecasting". When i put all 10 years of data on a line chart and then add the forecasting line via Analytics, i can see the near to accuate forecast line. But my problem is that the data range is huge with very wide chart where the chart points become very small and very difficult for user to focus.
On the otherhand, when i add a year slicer for current year, the forecast is also changed.
What i need is that the forecast line pick all 10 years of data knowledge but on the chart it on show the current year, is this possible?
@Majidbhatti , Whatever data point you use based on that forecast will be calculated. You have to keep data at the date level to have a better forecast.
Just see if you can use Date Hierarchy to Control Display.
@amitchandak my problem is not what it is showing on the x-axis. my problem is i only want to show the current year (as shown below), honestly user only wants to see 2020 data with forecasting based on 10 years of data. But when i select YEAR my whole forecast goes nuts (see below).
Hi @Majidbhatti ,
I‘m afraid it's unavailable, maybe you could adjust the point setting under "forecast" to make the showing more comfortable.
