Time Range Slider / Slicer

Hello,

 

I know this question has appeared on the community, but the answers seem a little outdated (8 plus years ago), so I'll post this in order to get an updated answer.

 

I need a simple task but it seems complex with the available tools PBI has: I need to create a time range slicer from a single Time column.

 

So basically I need to be able to use the slicer/slider object to filter between two times that come from a single column named Time. 

 

I do not want to filter relative times, just to be able to filter between two times.

    That extension is only for date ranges, I need TIME ranges. Eg. from 10am to 12.50 pm

    Hi Anonymous ,

     

    To do this you need to do a workaround. Add a new colum to your model with the whole number of the time similar to this:

     

    Now format that column like this 00:00:

     

    You can now use that column in a slicer:

      Thanks MFelix , it works! But the only thing is that if i move the slicer I get odd numbers such as 11:78, which are unreal. Is there a way that i get only valid (existing) values in the slicer?
