Time Intelligence with Direct Query on Data Explorer (Kusto)

Hello friends,

We try to create a simple measure that compares revenues from previous month.

Our data source is Kusto (Azure Data Explorer).

It seems that the simple CALCULATE(SUM(Amount),DATEADD(Calendar[Date],-1,MONTH)) is not working well

I am aware that working with Direct Queries is not always possible to do many DAX calculations, but this is very simple need - compare with previous period

Any ideas?
