The text boxes are not showing properly in Mac PBI Server

Hi team,

I am facing the issues with text box... I am creating it in report from windows and publishing it into Power BI Service. from my side the view of report is looking good as you can see below screeshot but when my friend  opened it in Mac book PC, the view is changing and the text boxes are making clumsiness. Please check the below screeshots.

This is which i have created and i could see better from Power BI Service  (Created from Windows laptop):

Hi @jswamy

Power BI uses the Segoe UI font for text as its default, and the Din font for numbers, and other fonts when creating reports, dashboards, and other artifacts, which may not be available on non-Windows computers such as Macs. As a result the font, alignment of artifacts, and visuals for the same report will look different when viewed on a Windows computer versus a Mac.

For reference:

That a limitation of alignment on Mac system, properly mentioned in PBI document. you can showcase this your friend.

I hope this post might help you!

Hey @jswamy
Try Following ways

  • Use Web-Safe Fonts: Stick to fonts like Arial or Calibri for consistent rendering.
  • Avoid Overlapping: Space out text boxes to prevent alignment issues.
  • Enable Responsiveness: Set the page view to "Fit to Width" or "Responsive."
  • Optimize Resolution: Design for common resolutions across devices.
  • Use Containers: Place text boxes in cards or grids for fixed positioning.
  • Check Browsers: Recommend using Chrome or Edge on Mac.
  • Apply Themes: Use consistent themes for uniform styling.
  • Test on Mac: Preview the report on a Mac before publishing.

Let me know if it works.

    Thank You
    Best Regards
