Hello everyone,
When uploading data from Dynamics CRM (online) into Power BI, most columns with text are showing text as numbers. What can I do so Power BI loads the text for any columns that have text response options?
What I see in CRM

What I see in Excel spreadsheet downloaded from CRM

Hello Maggie,
I learned that the numbers correspond to the fields that use drop down option lists. I built a data model to connect these option lists to the corresponding text.
Thank you for your time,
Carl
Hi @casunc
Which version ofpower bi desktop do you use? please update to the lastese one.
Please note that when you turn on a feature in "preview feature", do close the desktop and reopen it so that this feature would be implemented.
what data type of these column? how about transform them as "Any" type?
Could you import the excel file to power bi and get the correct format?
Best Regards
maggie

Hi @Baskar,
I tried this before posting with no success. I've updated my original post with examples of what I'm seeing. Please notice how the last column in Power BI is loading text but not the others.
Thank you for any ideas you may have to overcome this challenge.

i agree that @casunc,
As of my knowledge no other option to restrict auto detect column datatype.
Hope we have to change the datatype manually.
Hi @casunc
Can you share some more details on this? Like which entity you are accessing and some screenshot of the dataset
