Is there any way to test the PBI report, usually if i develop the report my colleague test it before publishing it to live, if he develops I test it, but its time consuming. Its like an extra work since we have to develop lot of reports in a daily basis. so is there any way to test the basic things in report like data quality, any error in dax/power query formula, codes, filter/slicer is ok or not ? it need not to be checking the entire report but atleast the basic things, is the visual is porper or not, etc. is there any test cases we can develop to test the report, if so how to do it ? It would be helpful if anyone could suggest how you guys test it in your work.

Hello @Anonymous ,

normally power bi will show error if there's any error in the dax or Power query but if you need to check if the dax measure is giving the right numbers or if you're getting the data right from power query or if the datra model is correct then this should be done by a person that has access to the main database and numbers to see if this is calculated right.

If not automated solution, is there any better and efficient ways to do the testing which might reduce the time, i want better ways on what we test and even who tests it

unfortunately no, since power  BI could give you numbers through a certain relationship that it won't match your numbers in database, although everything is done without error doesn't mean it fits the solution you want. So, there should be someone who knows the data and the desired outcome to do the testing since no one wants to display wrong figures.
