Taking a copy of main PowerBI file and putting it in another file in my PC

Peace to everyone 🙂

If I just take a copy of main PowerBi file(pbix) of our Team(shared folder) to another folder in my PC  with surely defrent name(renamed my copy).

Will this make any problim to main file (pbix) and so, with online dashboard of our Team.? ..

Can I make any changes on my own copy without any problims may happen to offical file?

(If yes, no problims), in which case(when) a problim may happen to official copy?

That's fine.  Your copy and changes made to it won't affect your official copy, unless you are doing something to affect a data source like writing back SQL to a DB.

@Anonymous , As far as I know local dowloaded pbix is offline only. Unless you push back. You can do a small change save and check.

@amitchandak

Thanks a lot for your quick response 🙂

but excuse me. I feel you didn't got my idea.

There is an official copy of (pbix) in our shared folder(of our company), which is associated to PowerBI online,

If I just take a copy of this official file to another location in my PC, and If I made any changes on my own copy(after renaming mine), should anyone of our team worry about official file(changes,problims) ? isn't like nothing happened at all? I think logicly no problims, but just for our team to be reassured(total reassurance).
