Good afternoon!
I have a table with two columns in list format, one for contacts and the other for files. I want to expand both columns to see the data. How can I do this? If I use the built-in Power Query tool to expand them, it will create one row for each contact with a file. Since it's possible to have more than one contact and file (up to 3 or 4 contacts and/or files), this would create a very large table.
Thank you so much!
@kevinEGE , create a new column
using two list columns
Zip=
let
_break = List.Zip( {[COlumn1], [COlumn2]} ),
_Trans = List.Transform(_break, each Record.FromList(_, {"Subject", "Marks"}))
in
_Trans
and then expand record
Table.ExpandListColumn(#"Added Custom", "Zip")
next step
Table.ExpandRecordColumn(#"Expanded Zip", "Zip", {"Subject", "Marks"}, {"Zip.Subject", "Zip.Marks"})
