Table visual filter issue

I have these two table-

Table 1

Box No Item Qty item Customer

1 A 100 ab
1 D

50

ab

1 E 200 cd
2 A 30 ab
2 B 199 cd
2 C 40 ef
3 A 299 ab
3 B 3 cd
3 C 45 ef
3 D 67 ab
3 E 54 cd
4 B 56 cd
4 C 34 ef
4 D 54 ab
5 B 25 cd
5 A 56 ab
6 B 54 cd
6 E 54 cd
6 F 23 re
7 C 24 ef

and

Table 2

Location Item Customer

a1 ab
a2 cd
a3 ef
a4 ab
a5 cd
a6 ab
a7 cd
a8 ef
a9 ab
a10 ab
a11 gh
a12 ab
a13 ab
a14 cd
a15

ab

They both have item customer in common.

Now I need out put like below- I need 3 visuals-

  Output

  Table Visual 1

  Box No

  1
  2
  3
  4
  5
  6
  7

When Click on any Box Number in above, the visual2 needs to filter like below-

  Table Visual 2

if click on Box No 1 Item Qty item Customer
    A 100 ab
    D 50 ab
    E 200 cd

Now When Click on any item , example A, Visual 3 needs to filter like below with the location that have same item customer-

  Visual 3
if click on a particular item in Visual 2…example Item A

    Location Item Customer
    a1 ab
    a4 ab
    a6 ab
    a9 ab
    a10 ab
    a12 ab
    a13 ab
    a15 ab

The problem is that when I click on visual 1 it filters the items in visual 2 but when I click an item in visual 2 , the visual 1 does not stay in same format and shows all the Boxes and the visual 2 shows all the items .Basically I need, 1st to filter 2nd and 2nd to filter 3rd visual.

Hi @learner03 ,

I understand you are able to build the visuals already.

Now the problem you have is interaction between the visuals.

You can do a control + click. To make Visual 1 filter Visual 2 and Visual 2 filter Visual 3. Your output will look like

One other option is setting up the interactions between visuals.

Visual 1 should filter Visual 2 but not do anything with Visual 3

Visual 2 should filter Visual 3 but not do anything with Visual 1

Visual 3 should not filter both Visual 1 and Visual 2

But int his case, using a Slicer for the first visual might be a better idea

Regards,

@Thejeswar Thanks, Ctrl+Click is working but the user uses a touch screen pad, so this wouldn't work.

Second option, to have slicer for first visual seems good but the problem is in the first visual, here I have just displayed Box number but in reality I have 3/4 columns to be shows like, landing date, Box vessel number etc. So slicer won't work in this case.

If there any other way I can do this?

@learner03 ,

Having multiple columns in the slicer like a Hierarchical Slicer would still solve the same purpose

@Thejeswar This would solve the purpose but I won't be able to sort based on the date (In orignal file there are 1000s lines)
