Table Visual Manipulation

Hi all,

I am working with a data set that has around 2-300 columns. I would like a visual to only show certain column based on what value is selected from a slicer. Does any one have any experience with doing this that could provide a resolution. I do not want to make a bunch of different hidden tabs and then use the navigate buttons.

Hi,

See Attachment, there is going to be some initial manual typing depending on how many columns you going be adding.

First Create a Parameter (Fields), add only a few of the rows you going to be using.

Next go to table view and look at the parameter table you just enter will look something like this

Next add additional rows and edit the parameter order in my case 0-99 will be group1, 100-199 group2 etc..

Next Create a new column, I called Filter (this will show the rows for each table, base on group)

Next go to design view and add a table and in the column field enter the "Parameter" column. (you will see some duplication if you are using the same field like I am for each group)

Next add a slicer and insert the "Filter" column and use single selection so that the user never sees the duplicate columns if you are using the same field for different groups.

Thank you Bmejia, this is what I came across as a solution as well but even better!

Hi @wc123

Please use field parameter, users can select column from slicer and that field will show in visual
