Switch to direct query from import while connecting to impala

Hello everyone,

I have a pbix file in which I am importing data from impala. I noticed that my data set was going to be much larger tha what i had expected, the size of the pbix file is now 340MB which takes hours to download and refresh.

I went to the source and switched it to direct query. However, the file size is still 340MB and it is taking hours to refresh and download.

Can you tell me where am I going wrong?

Thanks,

You may toggle "Enable load" in the Query Editor.

@v-chuncz-msft is it even possible to switch to direct query after importing data?
