Switch function with between two dates conditions

Hello all, 

Objectif of my code : Assign a predetermine period identificator to a specific date 

Scenario : I have a data source from a Sharepoint list , simple one Title and a date

I am using the switch function and for some reason the conditions I set for my function are never met, 

here is the very simplified code I believe this as to do with the date format but Im at a lost and would love some help,

This was a simple date format error, 

it was fixed by putting the date in the date() fonction,
