Switch data source from live connection to Import

Hi!

I built a PowerBI report with Live Connection data source, and created more visuals. Now I want to change the data source type from 'Live Connection' to 'Import'. Is it possible or any alternative way is there without losing the created visuals?

Thanks,

Hari

Hi @v-haravi !

You can change the Data source from Direct Query to Import, which is a irreversible action meaning once you change it to import method you can not revert it back to Direct Query.

Make sure you make a copy of your .pbix file.

Currently Live Connection to Import mode is not supported by Microsoft. Please vote this idea.

Regards,

Hasham
