Hi all!
I have tried so many different methods and solutions for this problem. I cannot get any to work. I Have a Report page with 3 different charts showing ticket counts. As we have teams in various regions, the managers would like to change the time zone, to see relevant counts in their region.
In my data, the key fields are Tickets Number, Date Created(UTC). I use a date table (006 - Date Created) and not date hierarchies.
This measure calculates the date created according to the slicer selected timezone. This works in a table, but not in a chart. The measure is:
TimeZone_Adjustment =
VAR UTCDateTime = SELECTEDVALUE ( 'MyTable'[Date Created])
VAR TimeZone = SELECTEDVALUE ( '012 - Time Zones'[TimeZone] )
VAR UTCOffset = SWITCH ( TimeZone, "EST", -5, "SGT", +8, "BST", +1 )
RETURN
SWITCH (
TRUE (),
UTCOffset >= 0, UTCDateTime + TIME ( UTCOffset, 0, 0 ),
UTCOffset < 0, UTCDateTime - TIME ( ABS ( UTCOffset ), 0, 0 )
)
Is there any way to get the charts to adjust based on the chosen time zone? I wonder if I can wrap this TimeZone_Adjustment measure into my (AvgPerDay, AvgPerHour, Count Days) measures and get that to work. I've tried so many different measures and none have worked. I'm just going in circles.
Here's an approach you could try:
