I have created a calculated table which summarizes another table and adds a column to get a count of the vendor but its returning the wrong total.
When I take the added column and create it as a measure I get the right total.
What am I doing wrong?

@Anonymous Maybe try:
calcTable =
ADDCOLUMNS(
SUMMARIZE (
dim_partner,
dim_partner[partner_key],
dim_partner[partner_name]
),
"Vendors",
COUNTROWS(DISTINCT(SELECTCOLUMNS(FILTER('ftm',[product_id] <> BLANK() && [product_id]<>0 && [vendor_id] <> BLANK() && [vendor_id] <> 0),"__ven_key",[ven_key])))

but would that not only work if its all coming from the ftm table, I need to filter from various tables like the prodduct table, the vendor table etc
@Anonymous What are the relationships between your tables? Do you have corresponding product_id and vendor_id columns in your related table? This might be easier if you provide sample data. Sorry, having trouble following, can you post sample data as text and expected output?

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.
