Im having some issues calculating the sum of row totals, the totals provided are calculated from another measure themselves.
the column i want to calculate the total sum of is this - and i want to add all processes that arent "master" then display the total in  a card visual
The "Process Run Time (Mins)" column is this measure
Any help is greatly appreciated.

hi, @jakaihammuda
try below
result =
 sumx(
   filter(
      all('tablename'),
      'tablename'[process column]<>"master" && 'tablename'[process column]<>"validation"
    ),
    [process run time]
  )

@jakaihammuda First, please vote for this idea: https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=082203f1-594f-4ba7-ac87-bb91096c742e
This looks like a measure totals problem. Very common. See my post about it here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/DAX-Commands-and-Tips/Dealing-with-Measure-Totals/td-p/63376
Also, this Quick Measure, Measure Totals, The Final Word should get you what you need:

@Dangar332 - is thre a way to add something to say if the value is blank then replace with a 0?
hi, @jakaihammuda
simply add zero (0) at end of expression
like below
result =
 sumx(
   filter(
      all('tablename'),
      'tablename'[process column]<>"master" && 'tablename'[process column]<>"validation"
    ),
    [process run time]
  ) +0
