Hello Power BI Community!
I have been working with Power BI for 2-3 weeks or so.
Suddenly when I was doing a tutorial video on Power BI Desktop I could not use Azure SQL Database as datasource.
I have to mention I have had this working till Today.
1. I found the server name of the SQL server on Azure as usual, and added it to the server section in Power BI Desktop
2. Adding optional database name: VRT (Also tried without it)
3. Entered my Database username and password
4. When i click OK i encounter this popup dialogue:
- Funny enough, the server it says it tries to connect to is the same as the ending of my school mail: "easv365.dk". This does not make sense at all, as the server name i specified is the server on Azure that i want to connect to.
Im running on a clean installed Windows machine, with a fresh installation of Power BI Desktop.
Anyone encountered this issue as well? Any solutions yet?
I will try to reinstall Power BI Desktop, tho i think it wont be the solution.
Cheers!
Morten

So i figured it out..
SHAME on meeeee..
Turns out it had to be the Server Admin Login & Password.
Still quite new to the azure portal and how AD works with resources.
