Sudden postgresql npgsql version error when refreshing locally, started 19th of Sep 2024

Hi.

We've been using the postgresql connector succesfully for years. The gateways have the proper npgsql version as instructed in the ms docs.

Me and my colleague started getting this error today, when trying to refresh a project in power bi desktop locally on our laptops. There has been no previous problems in the past four years, and everything was working yesterday. The published reports are updating fine.

I tried installing the mentioned npgsql version locally, but I shouldn't have to do that as it comes with the power bi installation. Installation did not help. Any ideas?

Edit: We are using the ms store power bi desktop, my version shows currently as Version: 2.132.1053.0 64-bit (August 2024). My coworker said he had a newer version yesterday, so maybe ms did a rollback and something got screwed?

Edit2: The power bi desktop just auto updated to Version: 2.135.7627.0 64-bit (August 2024) which fixed the problem!

Hello, I still haven't updated to version 2.135, I have 2.132, and therefore I still have the NPGSQL problem. Even on Microsoft's download website the old version (https://www.microsoft.com/es-es/download/details.aspx?id=58494) appears. Can you tell me how that update came to you? Thank you

I use the MS Store one so that I don't need to update manually. When I went to have a look at power bi desktop there, the download started automatically: https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9NTXR16HNW1T?ocid=pdpshare

Edit: it seems 2.135 can now be found from your link too.

The power bi desktop just auto updated to Version: 2.135.7627.0 64-bit (August 2024) which fixed the problem
