Sub total in a Table with several columns

Dear all,

I want to have subtotals in a table in PowerBI. Just the total amount for each contract as in the picture below. I tried with DAX formula with creation of new data table, or using matrix, but I don't manage to get this result which takes me 5 mn in Excel.

Could someone help?

Thank you.

Hi @LolHlde , hello selimovd, thank you for your prompt reply!

Use the matrix visual instead of the table visual, check the following steps:

  • Add Contract Number ,title ,supplier and country to the Rows section, and add "Amount" to the Values section:

  • Change the Layout to Tabular:

  • Navigate to the Row subtotals setting, enable the subtotal for the first and second-level "Contract Number" and "Title," and turn off subtotals for other levels:

Hello @Anonymous ,

My data is retreieved from an oracle database. When I refresh, all the levels are "closed", and I see only the contract number. Is there a way to expand and open contract Number, Title, and supplier?

Thank you !

Hey @LolHlde ,

yes, you can do that with subtotals in the rows.

Just turn them on in the settings of the visual.

If you need any help please let me know.
